The Mr. Gay World pageant, now aptly renamed Gay World Ambassador, aims to identify global leaders that will represent the gay sector to a global stage and talk about equal rights and acceptance. That and of course the usual display of the hunkiest gay guys vying for a chance to represent the country in the international competition to be held in Oslo, Norway in 2010.
This year's winner and top crowd favorite is Fil-American David Bosley. He bested 18 other candidates and won the votes of famous celebrity judges including Cannes Best Director Brillante Mendoza, movie/TV writer-director Wenn Deramas, comedienne Eugene Domingo, actress and gay icon Cherie Gil, fashion designer Renee Salud and actor BB Gandanghari.
The event was graced by Mister Gay World president and founder Eric Butter, who also expressed interest in staging the international contest here in the Philippines next year.
